Rotarians in Rotary District 9320 in South Africa, including the Free State of Lesotho will welcome a Group Study Exchange team from our District 5450 on approximately September 4th to October 3rd of 2007.

The Group Study Exchange (GSE) program of The Rotary Foundation is a unique cultural and vocational exchange opportunity for young business and professional men and women between the ages of 25 and 40.

For four weeks, team members will experience their hosts’ way of life, observe their own vocations as practiced abroad, develop personal and professional relationships, and exchange ideas. Travel expenses are covered by Rotary, and lodging is provided in the homes of the host Rotarians.

As South Africa’s official language is English, it is only necessary to have a willingness and a desire to embrace the country and its culture. A Rotarian Team Leader will be selected to help coordinate the exchange by facilitating the submission of pre- and post-departure documents and by acting as an adviser during the selections of team members. The team leader will travel with the team for the duration of the exchange.
