President’s Corner: Help Form a Rotary Club
January 17th, 2007 | by EvergreenRotary |Help form a new Rotary Club! Marcia Walsh and Gretchen Berggren seek a couple of partners who will go with them to Petit Trou des Nippes, Haiti in late spring to help form a new Rotary Club.
Thirty-five (35) citizens there already “signed up” as interested. The Haitian Sponsor is the Rotary Club of Jeremie, that already has approval from their vice governor. We will seek a Rotary travel grant for the trip to cover expenses.
Haitian Rotarians in Petionville are also interested in helping and may join us on the trip. Out of this, we trust a viable water project and other projects will develop, that could be supervised by the local club in this very remote but destitute area.
We need members of task force who are experienced in Rotary and in use of Rotary funds for projects.
