Night of 1,000 Dinners: Help Eradicate Anti-Personnel Landmines (HEAL)

March 28th, 2007 | by EvergreenRotary |

The 8th year students from the Montessori School of Evergreen would like to invite you to their fundraising and landmine awareness event, Night of 1,000 Dinners.

The event will be hosted at the Evergreen Lake House on April 2nd, which is a Monday night, from 6:30pm-8:30pm.

Our own Rob Witwer will be the special guest speaker for the event.

The Night of 1,000 Dinners will begin at 6:30pm. They will serve ethnic food from landmine affected countries, and they will present information that they have been studying and have activities for everyone.

There will be original art, T-shirts and sweatshirts to buy, as well as books from Hearthfire Bookstore.  The cost of the dinner is $20 per person. The money will be donated to the Adopt-A-Minefield organization.

To reserve your spot, please call the Montessori School of Evergreen at 303-679-9065.  The deadline for reserving a spot was extended, and I will have hard copies of the event information at our next club meeting on March 30th.  Show your support by hanging a pair of old shoes on your mailbox for everyone to see.  Take a picture and email it to Montessori School at
mms@montessori-evergreen.org.
