August 29th, 2007 | by EvergreenRotary |[tag]Ana Dodson[/tag], Rocco Dodson’s daughter, was recently featured on CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360″ for her remarkable achievements as the founder of the [tag]Peruvian Hearts[/tag]. Originally aired last August 23, the segment will be reportedly re-aired on Saturday, September 1st at various times during the day.
In the three years since Ana founded Peruvian Hearts, the organization has raised close to $40,000 to support the orphanage of Hogar de Mercedes de Jesus Molina in Peru. She has also been able to send support in the form of vitamins, books, clothes, meals, and even a tutor for the orphans.
Ana’s passion and commitment to helping children from her native country are noting short of ordinary. Indeed, CNN couldn’t have chosen a more deserving subject for its “Heroes” segment.
