President, Rotary Club of Evergreen

Here’s info on an upcoming Rotary Grants seminar on Saturday, Sept. 22. Dave Beall, our District Governor, is encouraging broad-based participation here in hopes that he can “take the mystery out of obtaining Rotary grants” and thereby enhance our ability to fund projects using RI money.

I’d like anyone that’s interested in this to attend, so the club will pick up the $25/person registration fee for the first 10 to sign up. Please let me know if you’re interested.

GRANTS SEMINAR

Saturday, September 22, 2007
FEE - $25

Arapahoe Community College
5900 S. Santa Fe Drive
Littleton, CO 80160-9002
Room M1900
NOTE: Room M1900 doubles as a cafeteria and is located on the first floor of the main building.

The Seminar is designed to educate our District Rotarians to make effective and successful grant applications to The Rotary Foundation. Participants will explore how to obtain the money to make a difference in the world.

REMEMBER:The goal of District Governor David Beall is to have every Rotary Club in the District participate in at least one project as either a lead or supporting Club. This Seminar is designed to provide the tools for District 5450 Rotarians to obtain the funds to pursue their projects.

WHO Should Attend? Club President, Club President Elect, Club Foundation Chair, International Service Chair, Community Service Chair, and any other interested Rotarian.

YOU WILL LEARN:

  • How to select a project
  • How to become a champion of a project
  • About the various grants available
  • About the money available for the Rotary Year 2007-2008
  • How to make a successful grant application
  • How to manage a grant once it is awarded

This will be a fun and very informative Seminar. We want to take the mystery out of obtaining Rotary grants.
