Hey Friends,
Last week you met the outgoing District Governor, Frank Sargeant. This Friday come meet the new Governor of District 5450, Dave Beall. He’s an energetic guy full of ideas and he’s anxious to meet you and share his vision for Rotary.
Also, I’m advised to give you notice of the following — it’s from the District’s publication, “The Care and Feeding of a District Governor”:
“Make sure Club members know in advance that it is not permissible to “scoot” on the day of the District Governor’s visit.”
“It is a commonly accepted courtesy to stand when the District Governor is introduced at this meeting. All members of the Club should be advised of this tradition before the meeting.”
Oh, brother. So remember: No scooting. And stand up. And, ladies, better practice that curtsy just in case.
See you Friday,
Mark
P.S. Flora, our Hungarian exchange student, will be at Friday’s meeting and needs a ride to school afterward — if you can help out, please email Barb Scripps, host mama, at barb@scrippstaylorcpas.com. Thanks.
