Evergreen Chorale Presents the Most Happy Fella

October 1st, 2007 | by EvergreenRotary |

The Evergreen Chorale and Tuscany Tavern proudly present Frank Loesser’s masterpiece, “The Most Happy Fella” from September 28-October 14, 2007 at Center/Stage in Evergreen.

The story revolves around the complications that arise when Tony, an aging Italian vineyard owner, proposes by mail to Rosabella, a young waitress who once served him in a San Francisco restaurant. Rosabella has no recollection of Tony, but after writing letters back and forth accepts his proposal, largely because he has sent her a picture of Joe, his handsome ranch hand.

Popular songs from “The Most Happy Fella” include “Standing on the Corner, Somebody Somewhere, Joey, Big D, and OOhh My Feet.” The dynamite cast is headed by Mike Weiker, who is playing Tony. Larry Sohrweid is the show’s director, assisted by Christine Gaudreau, musical director and Liz DeVille, choreographer.

Performance times are Friday and Saturday at 7:30pm and 2pm on Sunday, September 30 and October 14. Sunday, October 7 will be a special starting time of 6:00pm. Ticket prices are $18 for adults, $16 for seniors, $15 for students and groups of 10 or more and $9 for children. Please call 303-674-4002 or visit our website, www.evergreenchorale.org to purchase tickets or receive more information. Center/Stage is located at 27608 Fireweed Drive, near downtown Evergreen.
