CONGRATULATIONS to Diane and her Wines team on a successful and very enjoyable Saturday night! Y’all were AWESOME! I’ll leave it to Diane to hand out individual thanks to those of you who gave so much time and energy to the cause — if I start naming names I’m sure to leave someone out so, for now, suffice it to say that I appreciate you ALL and your many gifts of service. On behalf of the people who will benefit from your work, both here and around the world, THANK YOU!
RESULTS of the event are still to come, however, I understand that we hosted some 450 guests who wined, dined and bid on 167 items. When all the numbers are in, I expect that we will have netted something north of $40k. WELL DONE!
FEEDBACK from the guests was positive: 1) liked the automated auction format and the speedy checkout; 2) wines, beer and food were excellent; 3) the set-up of the rooms was a big improvement over years past with no big bottlenecks; 4) good selection of auction items; and 5) of course, the costumes were a hit — especially Todd the Tooth Fairy. A little scary, but hands down the popular pick for best get-up. Carolyn Alexander, photographer extraordinaire, will bring pics on Friday and we’ll relive the magic then.
Again, thanks for all you’ve done and continue to do –
Enjoy the week,
Mark
