Holiday Party Moved to Next Week

Rotarians,

My apologies, but our holiday party date must change from December 6 to next Thursday, December 13. Because of the change, we’ll have our regular Friday meeting this week (12/7) and be dark the following Friday (12/14).

If you’re interested, here’s the explanation: human error. I originally booked the Lakehouse for Friday, December 7. However, Lorna, the Lakehouse manager, called last summer to ask if we could change the date because the EPRD needed the space on 12/7. So I agreed to switch our date to December 6 and got an amended contract. Lorna crossed out 12/7 in her book but wrote in 12/13. Now the Lakehouse is double-booked and the other group’s (Alpine Rescue) caterers can’t change, whereas our caterers can.

So hold your hula for one more week. Please drop me an email either affirming your earlier RSVP or letting me know of any changes.

Again, my apologies for the error, and Lorna passes hers on too.
