Evergreen Club Makes Big Splash at District Conference
The Rotary Club of Evergreen made its presence known loud and clear at the annual District 5450 Conference, April 29-30, at Cheyenne Mountain Inn at Colorado Springs. The Evergreen Club, known for “bringing the party” to the conference each year, won five awards and received two honorable mentions. Club President, Linda Lovin, summed it up after the presentations in stating, “I'm so proud to report that our club was recognized for several awards and honorable mentions today at the District Conference. Congratulations to our club! It's been a fantastic year!”

Gary Fletcher Web Site Award: Rotary Club of Evergreen
This award celebrates a quality and effective website that significantly improves the impact of Rotary on the World Wide Web. Congratulations to webmaster Al Steger!
Public Relations Award: Rotary Club of Evergreen
District Governor Downes mentioned several of the activities of our club as featured in community publications. Thanks to our Public Relations Committee chaired by Holly Brekke.
Four Way Test Award: Dr. Gretchen Berggren
Gretchen and her husband David were present. It was a thrill to see Gretchen's recognition for outstanding exemplification of the principles of the Four Way Test!
Governor's Discretionary Award: Assistant District Governor Curt Harris
Curt was one of three people recognized for his work in the District. We know how lucky we are to have him in our club!
Paul Harris Award of Excellence: Rotary Club of Evergreen (honorable mention)
This award is given to the club that best meets the goals of current Rotary International President and District Governor.
