Asset Protection
Feb. 20, 2026
Our speaker this Friday will be Richard [Rich] Levine. Rich will share with us the practical insights on estate planning—why it matters, common pitfalls to avoid, and how thoughtful planning can bring clarity, protection, and peace of mind. Rich is the founder and managing partner of The Law Office of Richard A. Levine, PC, and has practiced law since 1986, serving the Evergreen community since 1995. He offices in North Evergreen, where he works alongside his associate, Robyn Bergman, formerly Chair of the Evergreen Chamber of Commerce, and his longtime paralegal, Donyce, who specializes in estate planning and probate. Together, their team has helped thousands of individuals and families navigate estate planning, trust administration, probate, and related matters—guiding clients through decisions that protect loved ones and preserve legacies. Rich is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley School of Law, and he currently serves on the faculty of the Colorado School of Mines, where he teaches Constitutional Law, Intellectual Property, and Legal Philosophy in the Honors Division. He has also taught at the University of Denver, where he led the Law and Society Division of the Women’s College. Rich has had a truly noteworthy career. He helped lead the effort to establish the Korean War Veterans Memorial on the Smithsonian Mall in Washington, D.C. He served as General Counsel to the 1994 World Cup, and has supported elite American athletics, assisting the USA Men’s and Women’s Volleyball Teams on international tours as well as the USA National Team Women’s Fastpitch Softball program. He is widely recognized for exceptional courtroom ability, having tried cases in both federal and state courts, and he is admitted to practice in Colorado, California, and the United States Supreme Court. Beyond his professional work, Rich is deeply involved in the community, serving on boards including Special Olympics Colorado, Mountain Resource Center, Bootstraps, and the Center for the Arts Evergreen. His wife, Kim, is a longtime local educator, and together they raised their three children here in Evergreen. |
